She believes her duty is to provide patient-centered care with a strong doctor-patient relationship. Her practice blends her medical expertise with optimization of lifestyle to achieve health for her patients who suffer with obesity, diabetes, thyroid problems, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and other metabolic and hormonal disorders.

She is board certified in Internal Medicine; Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and Lifestyle Medicine – a field that focuses on maximizing our health through nutrition, exercise, stress management, emotional and mental well-being, sleep and cessation of unhealthy habits.

Dr. Thangudu worked in one of the busiest endocrinology practices in the nation after her training where she learned about the traditional healthcare system before she ventured into physician entrepreneurship.

Dr. Thangudu is married to an ICU physician and adores being mama to an eight-year-old girl and six-year-old boy.

Brenda Davis, RD
Course Faculty

Brenda Davis, registered dietitian, is a plant-based trailblazer and an internationally acclaimed speaker. Brenda has been a featured speaker at medical, nutrition, and dietetic conferences in 25 countries on 6 continents. As a prolific nutrition writer, Brenda has authored/co-authored 13 books with nearly a million copies in print in 15 languages. Her most recent works include Plant-Powered Protein (2023), Nourish: The Definitive Plant-based Nutrition Guide for Families (2020), Kick Diabetes Essentials (2019), The Kick Diabetes Cookbook (2018), Becoming Vegan: Comprehensive Edition (2014) and Becoming Vegan: Express Edition (2013). Brenda has also authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and is a past chair of the Vegetarian Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She was the lead dietitian in a diabetes randomized controlled trial in the Marshall Islands. Brenda was the 7th recipient of the Plantrician Project실시간 바카라사이트�s Luminary Award in 2022. She lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
